i don't know where did my parents got my name and honestly speaking i really don't like my name. But as i search for the meaning of my name i found out that my name is From the Old French form of the Provençal name Aliénor. The popularity of the name Eleanor in England during the Middle Ages was due to the fame of Eleanor of Aquitaine, as well as two queens of the following century: Eleanor of Provence, the wife of Henry III, and Eleanor of Castile, the wife of Edward I. More recently, it was borne by first lady Eleanor Roosevelt (1884-1962), the wife of American president Franklin Roosevelt.
My name Eleanor is not a combination of my parents name but both of us of my brother starts from ELEA which means the name of an ancient Italian town (modern Velia) which is well known for being the home of the philosopher Parmenides and his student Zeno of Elea, who was famous for his paradoxes. But I don't think that my parents got my name there. I really don't know where they got it. But I'm still thankful that i have a name even though it sounds like a name of an old woman.
